Author Guidelines
The Canadian Journal of Statistics publishes original work in the theory and applications of statistics. Manuscripts must be submitted in either English or French. Authors need not be Canadian residents or members of the Statistical Society of Canada. All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/cjs-wiley. A double-blind refereeing system is used: the identity of the referees is not communicated to the authors and vice versa. An anonymized version of the paper, in PDF or Word format, should be uploaded to the submission site. Author names and affiliations are entered separately. We provide a LaTex template for submissions; you can download it here. The package includes TD-CJS.cls, bookmarks.sty, Cjsref.sty, sample.tex, and sample pdf. Use the sample.tex file as a guide for the preparation of your article. We do not provide a template for Word submissions; please follow the general guidelines found in sample.pdf.
It is the authors’ responsibility to make their manuscripts as anonymous as possible. Submission of a paper to this Journal implies that its contents constitute original work not previously published and that the paper is not being considered elsewhere for publication. Papers published or accepted for publication in this Journal cannot be published elsewhere in the same form, in any language, without the written permission of the Editor.

Author Services – Online production tracking is now available for your article through Wiley's Author Services. Author Services enables authors to track their article – once it has been accepted – through the production process to publication online and in print. Authors can check the status of their articles online and choose to receive automated emails at key stages of production. The author will receive an email with a unique link that enables them to register and have their article automatically added to the system. Please ensure that a complete email address is provided when submitting the manuscript. Visit http://authorservices.wiley.com for more details on online production tracking and for a wealth of resources including FAQs and tips on article preparation, submission and more.
Permissions – The entire content of the paper, including tables and figures, should be the original, unpublished work of the authors. If a paper uses figures or other materials from published sources, it is the responsibility of the authors to seek written permission from the person or publisher holding the copyright. The permission statement must be submitted with the copyright transfer form.
Copyright/License Agreement – If your paper is accepted, the author identified as the formal corresponding author for the paper will receive an email prompting them to login into Author Services; where via the Wiley Author Licensing Service (WALS) they will be able to complete the license agreement on behalf of all authors on the paper.
For authors signing the copyright transfer agreement
If the Open Access option is not selected the corresponding author will be presented with the copyright transfer agreement (CTA) to sign. The terms and conditions of the CTA can be previewed in the samples associated with the Copyright FAQs below:

POST-PUBLICATION
Author Name Change Policy
In cases where authors wish to change their name following publication, Wiley will update and republish the paper and redeliver the updated metadata to indexing services. Our editorial and production teams will use discretion in recognizing that name changes may be of a sensitive and private nature for various reasons including (but not limited to) alignment with gender identity, or as a result of marriage, divorce, or religious conversion. Accordingly, to protect the author’s privacy, we will not publish a correction notice to the paper, and we will not notify co-authors of the change. Authors should contact the journal’s Editorial Office with their name change request.
