Papers published in Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology (DMCN) are freely available online from 12 months after publication. Authors who wish to make their papers freely accessible immediately upon publication may use Wiley’s pay-to-publish service, Open Access. (See 2 Copyright below).

Disclosure of interests
The DOI form must be completed and submitted to the Editorial Office with your manuscript.
Title
Should be direct and cover the main focus of the paper.
Authors
First names, middle initials, and surnames. Up to 10 authors on the title page.
Affiliations
Department, institution, city, and country. Include at least one affiliation per author.
Corresponding author
Postal and e-mail address for corresponding author.
Abbreviations
List abbreviations that are not commonly used. Avoid using abbreviations of two letters wherever possible.
Abstract
Original articles, systematic reviews, and scoping reviews should follow the structure: AIM, METHOD, RESULTS, INTERPRETATION up to 200 words.
Invited reviews, clinical practice guidelines, and case series should have unstructured abstracts up to 150 words.
Short title
Original articles only. Provide a shortened title, up to 45 characters.
What this paper adds
Max 12 words each. The bullet points should contain only new results offered by the paper.
Up to 5 points for original articles, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and clinical practice guidelines.
Up to 2 points for other article types.
Main text
Manuscripts should be concise and clear.
Acknowledgements
List sources of funding or support and any conflict of interest.
Supporting information
Cite in the main text and list all supporting files after the main text.
References
Vancouver style is used. Original articles, invited reviews, and clinical practice guidelines should have a max of 30; systematic and scoping reviews may have more; max 15 for case series; max 5 for commentaries, editorials, and letters to the editor.
Tables/Figures
Max 4 per paper. Keep descriptions brief and explain abbreviations in table description.
